I had both knee replacements at Highgate Private hospital through Mr. Henry Atkinson in April & August 2018. I found him to be very professional and caring throughout my treatment. I am very grateful to him and his team for the satisfacory outcome of my operations as well as the way the Mr. Atkinson demonstrated care and interest in my recovery.
Infact my family members were impressed by his sociability when they saw him at the night of operation visits. He is obviously well qualified and knowledgeable with a pleasant engaging personality. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone looking for knee treatment/operatin.
Mr Atkinson treated me for two successive hip replacements in August 2017 & August 2018. I found Mr Atkinson’s manner very pleasant, kind, caring and supportive. I have a great respect for this kind mild mannered doctor, I instantly felt comfortable and felt a great sense of trust in his abilities. He explained every step very clearly, and was always happy to answer any number of questions. Both operations were a great success. He is a consumate professional with great humility, you are never believed to feel you are just another patience on a conveyer belt. I have no hesitation in recommending this great doctor.

I first met Henry after hurting my ankle in a football game. He was quick to diagnose my injury and sent me for scans to make sure I didn't need any surgical intervention (Thankfully I didn't!). It was at this visit however that Henry noticed an issue with my ACL that I had previous ruptured and discovered I had re-reputured it - quite a devastating prognosis for someone who is a keen sportsmen.
Having already had a hamstring graft and as a sufferer of patellar tendonitis, Henry was extremely supportive in helping me to get approval for an allograft, in the hope it would help me get back to football after rehab.
During the operation, It was also discovered I had damaged my cartilage, so Henry tried micro-fracturing as a means to help protect my knee as time goes on.
Throughout my recovery, Henry made sure I had access to great physios and after 18 months of rehab, my knee finally started to show positive signs from the Micro-fracturing and the ACL graft has served it's purpose of stabilising the knee.
It certainly won't ever be what it was, but to kick a ball again after a long time out was a fantastic feeling and i fully appreciate Henry's help and support in making that happen.
He is a gentleman and someone who really cares about his patients - so I couldn't recommend him highly enough for your ankle and knee problems!

My 13 year old son really liked Dr Atkinson. He felt like he was treated with care and compassion and appreciated the careful and thoughtful explanations he received. We all wish we either lived in London again or Dr Atkinson practiced in Florida! My son truly understands his injury and how to get himself healthy again thanks to you.
We are eternally grateful.
He always listen to me .Understood my circumstances.Express his feelings.Give proper and perfect appropriate treatment when required.
